Powerful, complex and aromatic with silky tannins (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre).

Food pairing:  Spicy food, meat and gravy or game.

Serving temperature: 15-16°C 

Tasting notes:

Well-balanced wine, as much spicy as fruity as structured.

It offers on the nose aromas of pepper, liquorice and sour cherry.

Same aromas in mouth with a long aromatic persistence and light vanilla notes coming from new and old barrels.

Terroir:

The grapes for the AOP Pic St-Loup come from St-Mathieu de Tréviers and Sauteyrargues.

Brown soil made of limestone scree, dating from the Cretaceous period, and some clayey parts.

Vinification:

Each plot is fermented separately from others in order to isolate the particularity of each terroir and parcel in the Pic St-Loup area.

Maturing in concrete vat during 2 months and then 12-16 months in old oak barrels.
