Gevrey-Chambertin 2021 - Domaine Hudelot - Bourgogne Gevrey-Chambertin 2021 - Domaine Hudelot - Bourgogne

Full-bodied, powerful, rich and meaty as all great Bourgogne-Côte de Beaune (100% Pinot Noir).

Firm structure, velvety tannins and delicate texture.

Food pairing:  Rib steak, lamb, tuna, strong cheese...

Serving temperature: 16°C-18°C

Tasting notes:

This deep-colored wine shows lovely fresh black fruit, along with an aroma of brioche and a touch of oak, on the nose.

It is straightforward, dense and complex on the palate, with candied overtones and a delicious, mouth-watering finish.

Domain:

The Estate is located in the heart of Burgundy in Hautes-Côtes de Nuits a few kilometres from Nuits-Saint-Georges.

The grape variety is mainly made up of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with a small share of Aligoté on clay-limestone soils typical of the region.

Since 2000 the Estate has been converted to organic farming.

Vinification:

Traditional vinification with punching down of the cap (pigeage) twice a day during fermentation which lasts 12-14 days.

The wine then goes into vat for one year, where it will carry out its malo-lactic fermentation, before being aged for 12 months in barrel.
