Tasting notes: 

 

Yellow gold hue. 

Aromas of acacia, hawthorn and honeysuckle mingling with verbena and hazelnut. 

On the palate: nice on entry with a touch of mineral, showing a harmonious and long-lingering opulent, mellow character.

 

Domain: 

 

The Miolane estate consists of nine hectares of vineyards at Saint-Aubin, a village in the prestigious Côte des Blancs area. 

Operations are run by Patrick, a larger-than-life character who loves a good joke, and his dynamic, forward-looking daughter, Barbara. 

They make a perfect pair, each responsible for their own sphere of activity. 

The estate produces fourteen Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet appellations, including premier cru, villages and regional wines. 

The whites very much reflect the local growing conditions (the terroir).

Patrick and Barbara Miolane sell to private individuals and welcome visitors keen to taste their wines, by appointment.

Harvested by hand, sorting in the winery.

Grapes pressed in a horizontal cage press. 

Cooling of the must followed by settling. 

Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. 

Ageing: 50% in vat and 50% in barrel (20% in new barrels) for 9-12 months.
