Tasting notes:

 

This wine is very rich, fruity and very mature with aromas of wild berries and violet.

Fresh and aromatic with ripe and rich tannins.

 

Domain:

 

This family vineyard is located in the West part of Chinon appellation and more particularly at Huismes.

All the vineyard is also situated in Chinon and Beaumont in Véron on the famous soils of the confluence of the Loire, l'Indre and the Vienne.

The Véron is a very special region of the Tourraine who has a micro climate hot and dry because of the rivers.

 

Terroir:

 

98% Cabernet Franc, 1% Caberbet Sauvignon and 1% Chenin.

The vines are 40 years old.

The diversity of the soils makes the richness of this vineyard:

Sandy alluvium, clay and limestone, gravelly.

Climate is Northern.

 

Vinification:

 

Manual harvest in early October when the grapes are fully matured.

ed and vinified separately. 

After the vatting, the fermentation is made naturally without adding any chemical yeast like all the wine process.

grapes are sorted one last more time in the basement.

Maceration tanks are temperature controlled stainless steel and can last from 15-30 days with master

pumping over.

Breeding continues in the traditional way, in stainless steel vats.
