Château Fourchou 2020 - Bordeaux Supérieur Château Fourchou 2020 - Bordeaux Supérieur

Rich, fruity and well-balanced with smooth and elegant tannins (Merlot, Cabernet Franc).

Food pairing:  Beef, game, roasted veal, grilled lamb cutlets, poultry, Asian food, cheese...

Serving temperature: 18°C

Tasting notes:

Bright and limpid in aspect, with aromas of perfectly ripe red fruits, this smooth superbly fruity wine is well balanced with great aromatic expression right up to the finish.

Estate:

Château Fourchou is a property including 40 hectares of vines located near the famous and picturesque village of Saint-Emilion, in the department of the Gironde.

This attractive stone building has recently been renovated and includes private living quarters.

Terroir:

The Merlot, main grape variety of the vineyard, the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Cabernet Franc benefit from a rich geological diversity (limestone clay, marl, gravel, flint) and a great exposition

Winemaking:

Harvesting takes place when the grapes have attained optimum maturity.

The Merlot offers fine fruit characters, thanks to perfect maturity drawn from sun exposure, while the Cabernet-Sauvignon is indispensable to the wine’s structural balance.

The wine is made in the traditional manner in stainless steel vats with the grapes being destemmed and with temperature controlled fermentation.

Selected yeasts ensure total control of the winemaking process.

The pressed wine is matured in separate vats and reincorporated in proportions determined by successive tastings.
